| The national
headquarters of the Alpha Tau
Omega fraternity strongly advises that each active undergraduate chapter establish and maintain a
Board of Trustees. The purpose of the board is to reduce the demands
placed on the chapter advisor by providing specialized services to the active
chapter in areas such as leadership and career development, scholarship,
finances, alumni relations and more. Overall, the board serves as a
mentoring and advising body to the active chapter. To volunteer your services to the ZO
Board of Trustees, please contact
John Newton, Chapter Advisor.
The most recent meeting of the
BOT was held on December 15, 2005. John Newton reported that:
- new officers hadvebeen
elected,
- consideration is being
given to coating the floor of the new house basement with an
epoxy-like covering, thus improving its appearance and durability,
- a Parent's Association has
been formed,
- active chapter grades will
not be available until the middle of January,
- the active chapter is
considering ways in which it can improve its philanthropy work,
- the number of active
members living in the new house should increase by 2-3 in the Spring
semester,
- the Spring semester rush
schedule should be solidified soon.
